The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model that is wet-dry is fitted with Ecovacs' upgraded AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system, which offers improved mapping and obstacle avoidance. It uses Roborock S8 Dual Brush Robot Vacuum Cleaner-laser LiDAR similar to the kind you'll find in self-driving vehicles and is able to scan an area of up to 32 feet wide by 270 degrees. This translates to more precise mapping, faster response times, and better cleaning accuracy.

It also has a rotating mopping mat made of chenille, which makes it easier to scrub hard-to-clean spots than conventional mopping. In my testing the X2 Omni took just over an hour to wash its pad and begin work, and I noticed it was much more accurate than previous models that were able to follow a grid-like route around rooms. It was able to navigate the corners and edges of my rooms, as well as make "Zambani patterns" across the middle of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station regularly to empty the dust bin and clean the mop using hot water before beginning another cleaning task.

The X2 Omni is just as simple to use and set up as the other Ecovacs products. It takes just a few minutes to secure the dock into its place, plug it into and connect it to your home Wi-Fi network. After that, you can start the app and get started with your first cleaning project. I was able customize my floor plan in about 15 minutes. This included creating limited areas for mopping and sweeping and rearranging the layout of furniture that is mounted on walls and more. The X2 Omni performed admirably in my tests. It scored well in the areas of pet hair removal and debris removal. It also achieved near-perfect results in crevices and edge cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

If you're looking for a strong combination of vacuuming and mopping look into the EcoVACS Deebot Omni. It is the most sophisticated of the T-line offered by the company and comes with the brand new OZMO Turbo2.0 mopping system that uses dual-spinning brush for better cleaning than conventional scrubbing. It also comes with YIKO built-in, a first-of-its-kind natural language processing technology that allows it to respond to a variety of voice commands. You can use the ECOVACS app to map your home, set up cleaning schedules, and alter settings.

The biggest issue with the T10 Omni is that it cannot switch between mopping and vacuuming in one run. Both modes require that you attach and take off the mop heads as needed, which is fine for most homes, but isn't an ideal choice for those who lead busy lives.

The Deebot T10 is an excellent robot vacuum that gives impressive results. It was able to remove more than 96% of debris from our hardwood floors. This is a fantastic performance. It also did an excellent job with tile and carpet, removing over 99% of dirt and debris.

This robot vacuum and mop has an extensive docking system that allows for automatic cleaning with cool water for the mop pads. It also has an auto-emptying 3L bag that's easy to replace, and hot air drying for fast and simple maintenance. It also has a huge water tank that allows frequent washing and drying between mopping runs.

The Deebot T10 comes with an integrated wash tray into its base, which is similar to other mopping robots. It makes use of the wash tray to wash and dry the mop pads while it is using them. It doesn't have a removable tray so dirt, dust and other grime will slowly build up in the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

While Anker-owned Eufy is well known in the world of robot vacuums, this model is its first venture into the realm of mopping. It has upgraded intelligence, multiple map support, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that adjusts automatically to the surface you are cleaning. It's a great mid-range robotic vacuum cleaner, even if it doesn't exactly live up to its promise to be an all-in-one solution for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be an ordinary robotic cleaner from the top. It is a circular design with sweeping wheels, and an elevated sensor. Flip it over, however there's an electric floor brush as well as a single side sweeper brush that pushes dirt from the edges of the machine into the main path of the robot's'mouth'. It's smaller than the main brushes on the rival iRobot Roomba S9, which I found makes it easier to get under sofas and chairs.

The mapping system is quite sophisticated and allows you to set no-mop zones, as well as specific cleaning zones. However it is prone to hit things (including its charging dock) and robot vacuum mops isn't always great at climbing over rugs. It was great at collecting pet hair off bare floors. In our tests it picked up 89.5 percent of kitty litter.

Although it can be controlled via the app and the app, the X8 Hybrid also comes with a series of physical buttons on its base, which allow you to select the cleaning mode and switch the robot off or on. These buttons can be used to establish no-go areas and access real-time maps. It's a bit chatty and will let you know what it's planning to do next ("start cleaning") or alert you that something is wrong (it isn't able to charge, for example).

4. ILIFE A4s

This high-tech model can pick up pet hair, kibble, and other particles with impressive effectiveness. It can also move effortlessly around furniture legs. It also comes with a remarkable feature set that includes two cleaning modes as well as a self-emptying dock and a real-time obstacle avoidance system. The Wi-Fi enabled device can be operated via the Neato App which schedules cleanings and maintenance requirements are tracked. The X2 Omni is a great choice for large homes that have a mixture of hard and carpet floors. However, it will need some planning ahead to avoid getting entangled with electrical cables, toys or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

In our tests of hardwood floors and kibble, this robot performed well and picked up everything from a single grain of rice to multiple pieces of dog food in just one sweep. It had a bit of trouble transitioning to rugs, however, this vacuum cleaner is great for large spaces with flooring of all kinds and a variety of pets.

The A4s Pro is a bit expensive, but it's a great purchase for those who want to be able to leave the house with no hands on so they can do other things or perform household chores. The A4s Pro also offers a useful auto cleaning mode that automatically boosts suction power to tackle difficult spills and dirt, robot vacuum mops and comes with a battery-powered ElectroWall which allows you to place boundaries where the robot is not allowed to access.

This budget-friendly choice from a popular upstart brand is the most affordable robot we've tested yet and offers an outstanding value for cost. The basic navigation system employs an extremely basic random pathing algorithm that isn't equipped with room mapping capabilities, making it less time efficient than other models on this list. It's still able to get under furniture and into the corners. Mopping mode performed very well in our tests and picked up hairs that were straying and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not be as durable, but it is better at cleaning pet hair from all surfaces. It clears bare floors more thoroughly and does a good job on carpets with low pile, and it uses smart-pathing navigational technology for better maneuverability. It also allows you to send it to a specific area, and its advanced suite of automation features includes no-go zones as well as scheduling. It allows you to suspend and restart cleaning sessions, making it perfect for homes with pets.

The self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent tangles with pet hair and other debris and its bagless self-emptying dock station can hold up to 30 days worth of dirt before needing to be cleaned. It has a set of angled side brushes that can reach into corners and a multi-stage filter system that collects dust, allergens, and dander.

The robot vacuum is built well and feels solid. It is compatible with an app on your smartphone that allows you to change the settings of your vacuum and schedule cleaning sessions in advance. The app allows you to view the remaining battery life of the iQ and also receive push notifications when it encounters any issues during the cleaning session. You can control it using your voice using an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't own either of these devices you can mark out areas by using physical boundary markers.

The iQ does a decent job of cleaning floors and does a decent job with shaggy and low-pile carpet, but it doesn't have the same degree of autonomy as our top picks. It is also expensive and the cost of recurring use can increase.
